毋庸讳言,我们中国,总体上是个缺少契约精神的国度。别的暂且不说,鼠首兔首的流失,就与当初大清政府和国人虐杀外国使节和洋人传教士不无关系。(“两国相争,不斩来使”啊!)其他如文革期间,我们一度向境外输出的大量“革命”;07年9月,女足世界杯杭州赛场上的“嘘日”事件;08年4月,奥运火炬传递时,巴黎等西方都市蔚为壮观的“红色海洋”(设想一下,如果是法国的三色旗在我们的北京铺天盖地,我们又会作何感想?)……还有“三聚氰胺”,还有似乎时时刻刻都在此伏彼起的矿难……如果我们国人的契约精神再多一点更强一点,这样的事情就有可能少发生甚至不发生。而事实上,直到现在,在我们的现实社会中,更多的还是与以诚信为基础的契约精神不搭界的内幕交易、暗箱操作、关系人情!说来也难怪,毕竟,我们现在还都是“居民”,“公民”都不是啊!然而,建立以契约精神为基础的真正意义上的现代国家毕竟是时代趋势、世界潮流,也是我们现在搞经济体制改革和政治体制改革的目标之一。如此,在现时的中国,大力宣传和弘扬以诚信为基础的契约精神大有必要。应该说,经过几十年的改革开放、对外交流,特别是加入WTO后,契约精神在我国已经深入人心,特别是在那些有着广阔的国际视野、富于理性精神的知识精英阶层。尽管如此,我们对此仍不能掉以轻心,警惕它被那些打着爱国主义和民族主义的非理性意识裹挟,从而影响我们建立以契约精神为基础的真正意义上的现代国家的努力。这次的鼠首兔首拍卖闹剧,就是这种反契约精神的表现之一!夜正长,路也正长,真正意义上的现代国家的辉煌前景呼唤更多的以诚实守信为基础的契约精神!!
