Heanswered,"Heissoundasleepinhiscradle."  then,intheformofthequeen,shewentupstairs,nursedthebaby,fluffeduphiscover,tuckedhimin,andthensheswamoffthroughthegutterasaduck.  Shecameinthesamemannerfortwonights.Onthethirdnight,shesaidtothekitchenboy,"Goandtellthekingtotakehisswordandonthethresholdtoswingitovermethreetimes."   thekitchenboyranandtoldthistotheking,whocamewithhisswordandswungitoverthespiritthreetimes,andafterthethirdtime,hiswifewasstandingbeforehim,vigorous,alive,andhealthy,asshehadbeenbefore.  thekingwaselated,buthekeptthequeenhiddeninaroomuntiltheSundaywhenthebabywastobebaptized.Atthebaptismhesaid,"Whatdoesapersondeservewhodragssomeoneoutofbedandthrowshimintothewater?"  theoldwomananswered,"Thescoundreldeservesnothingbetterthantobeputintoabarrelstuckfullofnails,andthenrolleddownhillintothewater."  thenthekingsaid,"Youhavepronouncedyourownsentence."
